As a photographer, there’s nothing quite like seeing an image come to life in print — and Top Shot Printing and Framing absolutely delivered on this piece. Printed on cotton rag and displayed behind museum grade art glass.

The quality of the print, attention to detail in the framing, and overall craftsmanship exceeded expectations and transformed this portrait into a true heirloom piece.

In a world where most images live on phones and social media, professionally printed photographs still hold a different kind of power and emotion. Seeing this final product reminds me why printed artwork matters so much.

As a big Eastman Kodak collector I Picked up an original Boston Post newspaper from March 15, 1932. First wave reporting on his death.

What makes it special isn’t just the age — it’s the moment it captures.

Printed within hours of George Eastman’s death, alongside headlines covering Babe Ruth and the Lindbergh kidnapping.

A snapshot of the world, exactly as it was nearly 100 years ago.

This printed before Sydney Harbour bridge was opened on march 19th.

Babe Ruth went on to hit his called shot in the world series on October 1st

A lot of interesting articles and illustrations.

St Brigids Catholic church, Breadalbane. This church was built in 1865 and here it is captured on a glass plate using my vintage Kodak, with dry plate photography invented in 1871 there is a good chance that there are similar images out there of this church that used the same process I used to create this image, it's not perfect and there are artifacts but it adds to the authenticity of the image and the process involved, an image like this takes me around 15-20 minutes from the start of developing to rinsing, and needs to dry overnight before scanning the next day.

Where Time Rests

Places like this remind us that time moves slowly in the countryside.

Generations have walked through that doorway, celebrated life, mourned loss, and been laid to rest just beyond its walls.

Today it sits quietly beneath a heavy sky, still standing watch over them all.

Moments fade. Photographs remain.
