A selection of Aurora Australis photos from the lookout overlooking the Gerringong township. For those that know the area, the house that a lot of the filming done for the recent "Invisible Man" is just below - for those with eagle eyes you'll see a long purple coloured string of led lights on either side of the road that leads to the house

Comet C/2024 G3 Atlas last night from Elambra at around 9:15pm. It was not visible to the eye, you need either binoculars or a camera. It's located directly above where the sun sets in the South West sky, well to the left and below Venus. It sets just before 10:00pm and getting earlier each day. If we have another cloudless night, I'll find a different spot without electricity wires 😉

Comet Leonard and its tail were much clearer last night - here you can see the comet on the left, a satellite streaking across in the middle and if you look carefully on the right you'll see the small moons to the left of Jupiter. The glow above the hills on the left are the lights of Nowra - Berry's lights are shining behind the hill on the far right

Comet C/2021 A1 (Leonard) last night from Gerringong - the skies finally cleared after weeks of clouds - It was very difficult to find, not visible without a camera/telescope, I was out in 13c temperatures until midnight.
