Moments like this are why I always encourage couples to leave enough space in their timeline for getting ready portraits. Not rushed or chaotic. Not restricted or timed.

Everything is just slow, intentional moments where you can actually breathe and take it all in.

These are often some of the most emotional photos from the whole day, the dress hanging, the details laid out, the final touches, the stillness before the ceremony and sometimes a chance for first looks.

Having extra time means your gallery feels like the full story, not just the ceremony onwards.

I usually suggest to my couples to have me arrive around 1.5–2 hours before you’re ready to leave for the ceremony. This gives enough time for details, candid moments with your people, those calm bridal portraits (a variety too) and a little buffer time so nothing feels rushed if the morning runs behind.

The best photos happen when there’s room to simply be and enjoy the morning beforehand!

The next month I’ll be capturing 3 elopements and they are quickly becoming one of my favourite ways to document love 🤍

There’s something so special about stripping it all back.
No rush, no pressure, just the two of you, fully present.

More time to breathe, to feel, to be in the moment and honestly, it shows in every photo.💌

There’s just something about a black & white image that speaks more to me than any colour image would. When I look at a B&W image I pay attention to the emotion within it, the story and the little details that you tend to miss in a coloured image. As the saying goes “a picture tells a 1,000 words” and that’s what B&W does for me.

Next week I’ll be releasing my cottage motherhood minis! If this is something you would be interested in comment below “COTTAGE” and I’ll send you the link for early access. 🥹🤍💌

I’ve been envisioning this for over a year now and I’m finally bringing it to life 🤍

In October I’ll be hosting ‘The Romantic Storyteller’s Retreat’ in the Hunter Valley inspired by some of the most timeless love stories from film and literature. 📖🎞️

Across four days we’ll photograph five beautifully styled shoots inspired by stories like Anne of Green Gables, The Princess Bride, Ever After, Harry & Ginny (from Harry Potter), and Wuthering Heights.

But this retreat isn’t just about the photos.

It’s about slowing down, reconnecting with your creativity, and spending a few days surrounded by other photographers who truly understand this industry.

Think beautiful locations, storytelling imagery, shared meals, movie nights watching the films that inspired our shoots, late night chats, and the kind of weekend that fills your creative cup again. I wanted this to be something where we can create, connect, and support each other.

There are only 6 spots available to keep the experience intimate.

If this feels like something your heart is pulling you towards, I’d absolutely love to have you there.

Comment below “RETREAT” and I’ll send you the booking link. Only $750 to secure your spot with payment plan options available🤍💌

The early wake up was so worth it for these moments! I was screaming on the inside the whole time! Dove Lake is truly so breathtaking and being able to do what I love there meant the world to me.

Big thank you to for making my dreams possible. This retreat will forever hold a special place in my heart. 🥹
