Proud to have been one of the many Oz snappers who volunteered to photograph every remaining WW2 Veteren back in 2015. RIP

I had a fun time photographing these two incredible WWII veterans as part of the Reflections Project. AIPP members across Australia are contributing their time to photograph every living WWII veteran to create a significant archive for the nation. If you have family members who are veterans please help register them online. Let's honour them before they disappear.

Enjoyed photographing WWII Kokoda veteran David Wallis this afternoon. Told me his division were on their way to help the US when John Curtin called them back. That was a critical move as it turned out. He got hit but lived on to tell the tale and is in fact the first male veteran I have photographed for the Reflection Project. Was a real pleasure chatting with him.

In the ways of artists struggling to communicate their artistic vision. My helper snapped this for me after finishing up on a shoot. I was trying to explain myself and get an updated selfie. Weird to see moments like that.

Tried to capture the art and connection gardening gives us for a local government client in a series some years ago. I chose a slower shutter to catch a touch of movement, shallow depth of field and a macro lens to get in close. We don't always need faces to make a visual impact.

After taking these pics I had a great chat with these three aussies at City of Cockburn's Coogee Beach Australia Day celebration. Jermaine Pickett on left and Tai Morrison on right with Oz Day Ambassador and national treasure Professor Lynda (Lyn) Dent Beazley AO. The future is looking bright for these youngsters.
