There’s something particularly lovely about a collection of portraits of creatives, made by other creatives.

I’m part of 'Creatives x Creatives', currently showing at XYG Gallery. Curated by gallery owner Garrie, the exhibition brings together old and new portraits and includes one of my most favourite portraits of all time, an original Arnold Newman print, which is pretty bloody amazing.

My two portraits in the exhibition are of friends and fellow photographers Sarah Black and Cara Mand 🖤

'Domestic Inheritance' is currently on display as part of *No Place Like Home* at Cube 37 Gallery.

A little still life about the things we keep, collect and inherit, and the stories that come along with them.

Shot on large format black and white film, digitally hand coloured.

If you’re in the Frankston area, pop in and have a look. 🤍

A selection of photographs on film made for the wonderful team at Art Guide Bookstore

Kym and Jackson welcomed me into their cosy Northcote bookstore for the morning, trusted the process, and politely went along with each and every idea. These are a few of the frames we made together.

My Makers Series is an ongoing collection of portraits of artists, makers and creative business owners in the places where they spend their days. Studios, workshops, kitchens, bookstores, garages, warehouses... if it's where the work happens, that's where I'm interested. Less "look at the camera", more a snapshot of the people behind the practice.

The wonderful Photo Collective putting on an amazing show for the 10th anniversary of the Australian Photography Awards. What a brilliant turn out and an honour to be selected as a finalist amongst so many beautiful friends.

Thank you Harriet, Tom and Angus for a brilliant show and congrats to all the winners 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Another series of images from a Makers Series I photographed with the wonderful artists at White Fox Tattoo Studio

A mix of film and digital, documenting the quiet moments between the hum of the needles. Sketches becoming permanent, careful hands at work, fresh ink, conversations, and the personalities that make the studio what it is.

Some frames from photographing multidisciplinary artist Barbara Tipper for my Makers Series.

Barbara's practice is incredibly expansive, spanning natural pigments, painting, textiles, drawing and storytelling. Everything seems to begin with place. The colours, materials and marks all have a connection to Country, and you can feel that throughout her studio.

It was a privilege to spend time documenting a small part of a practice that has such depth and generosity.

How lucky am I to be part of this creative sisterhood of wildly talented women, each wielding their own light-catching magic box, and willing to burn my image onto little frames of celluloid.
