"Motion II"
I like waterfalls, I have always liked them. Waterfalls have voices they have personalities and they are alive.
I am still enjoying exploring and working on the images from my trip to New Zealand. This one was from August 2017 I missed a fiew good shots because I just couldn't take my eyes and mind out of the wonderful display to concentrate on photography. In 2026 We Are Raw Photography planning another photo tour in New Zealand and hopefully I visit this place again. If you like to join us check @ www.wearerawphotography.com for details.

"Window to the Other Side"
Embarking on a visual odyssey across New Zealand’s South Island, capturing the raw beauty of wild alpine landscapes and untamed coastlines. The pursuit of the perfect frame—under those rare, ideal photographic conditions—was nothing short of pure adventure.

The story continues with preparations already underway for a new spring photo quest in November 2026—seeking the last traces of winter’s frozen beauty before the changing season reshapes the landscape once again.
Follow the journey, and feel free to connect online to discover the stories behind the lens.

“Two Cameras, One Aurora: A Night of Pure Atmospheric Magic”
Last Wednesday, the southern skies came alive offering a vivid and dynamic Aurora light show, stretched across the horizon, forming luminous arcs and swirling curtains, occasionally pulsating with intensity. The display was captured using a wide-angle lens to encompass the vastness of the sky, with exposures carefully balanced to preserve both the faint stars and the delicate auroral structures.

For the foreground, I used the Nikon D850 paired with Nikkor 14–24mm f/2.8 at 17mm, ISO 31, 1.6 sec f/22, capturing sharp, detailed landscape elements.

For the sky, I switched to a Nikon Z8 with Canon 11–24mm f/4 at 11mm, ISO 3200, 10s, f/4, , balancing sensitivity and aperture to capture the auroral light without overexposing stars.

In post-processing, I blended the exposures, adjusted white balance, and enhanced the red-to-green gradient, preserving both the natural auroral colors and the crispness of the foreground. A rewarding example of multi-exposure technique, capturing the full drama of the southern lights while maintaining technical precision.

"Afterglow Silence"
Shot this at Coles Bay just after the sun dropped behind the Hazards. The sky lit up with warm, fiery tones — oranges and pinks reflecting across the bay. I used a long exposure to smooth out the water and simplify the scene, letting the colours and clean lines do the work. No distractions, just shape and light.

"Where the Light Begins"
Capture the magic where the sand sings beneath your feet and the scenery takes your breath away.
First light at Squeaky Beach — soft gradients, clean foreground, and granite boulders catching that golden edge. Shot on Nikon D850 + Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 at f/14, ISO 100 129 sec plus ND 6 stops , Nature served simplicity, and the light did the rest."

"A Dance of Light and Fog"
Winter colors are pure magic, and this afternoon showcased them at their finest. The soft golden glow of the sun pierced through a delicate veil of fog, blending warmth and chill into a mesmerizing palette. The mist softened the landscape, while the sunlight cast a gentle radiance, creating an ethereal contrast—subtle yet powerful. This fleeting harmony of light and atmosphere was the perfect recipe for a truly enchanting image.

We look forward to seeing you very soon on a Photo Tour experience.

A Photographic Force of Nature
In New Zealand’s South Island, Devil’s Punchbowl Falls cascades 131 meters in a dramatic display of raw power. The thundering water crashes into the rocks below, enveloping the landscape in mist. Rugged and untamed, it’s a scene that commands both awe and admiration—a true masterpiece of nature.
