I’m thrilled with this year’s results in the Landscape Awards, with both of my entries receiving awards.
A big thank‑you to Australian Photography for running this competition each year and giving photographers a platform to share their work.

Just a couple of photos taken over the last month or so. I found it interesting that there are still people reading books and a newspaper. A little bit of old school hope to catch some more and make a series. A colour series this time. The first one is one of my favorites

Just recently I attended the Bluewater Festival here in Shorncliffe — always a great opportunity to take some photos.

After posting the images, I was told that some of them were considered offensive and that I shouldn’t have taken them. This surprised me, because what I captured feels very much like the essence of street photography.

I’d appreciate your thoughts. Please have a look and let me know if you can identify which photos might be seen as offensive. I value your opinion.

t’s been a while since we’ve been travelling, and because of that I’ve been digging through some old files. I’ve been sitting on this photograph for quite some time. That afternoon is one we’ll remember for years. We had just finished our guided walk through Mungo National Park. The weather was turning, with heavy clouds building, and the late‑afternoon glow settling over the sand.
We were standing outside the designated area of the park, looking back toward the place we’d been walking only minutes earlier. This image is one I love and hate in equal measure. The light and the clouds are absolutely beautiful, yet there’s no true point for the eye to rest. You keep circling around the frame, searching for somewhere to settle your focus.
What do you think?

Last Sunday Exploring our extended back yard. Our son and grandson told me about this trip they had done in the back country of Mt Mee. They told me you must see it. Two 4x4 we set out on a adventure, with the DE ROO family. I can see why it is advisable to take the two cars, a little bit Hairy in some spots.
The scenery is some of the best I have seen for some time, in between hanging on, the outlook was fantastic. I would have liked to get out and take more photos. If there is a next time, I would like to take my big camera and take my time to photograph the scenery.
Mind you we certainly got it at prime time with low cloud and a lot of rain periods.
Hope to get out here again.

Always a pleasure to have my photography accepted by Et Al Gallery and Studio for their various art selections and themed exhibitions throughout the year. The year begins with the Black and White Exhibition, now in its third year. A diverse range of artworks is on display, including oil, acrylic, and watercolour paintings, photography, and pottery. The exhibition runs from 15 January to 1 February.
If you’re able to visit, drop by 5th Avenue, Sandgate to see the artworks in person. If not, you can view the collection on the Et Al Gallery and Studio page or on Instagram at .
I’m very happy to share that my entry has a red dot — meaning it’s sold.

Recent visit to Noosa and Noosa Main Beach. Didn't have my Camera with me because, sand and salt and it is laying on the beach while going for a swim.
Here are these beautiful colours and threatening dark skies as contrast. I did have my phone, rushing closer I got the following shots. The phone did a pretty good job, I think.
