I was brought up in a pretty big family with 4 other siblings. Anyone from a big family knows that it’s pretty hard to carve out anything for yourself. For me, that happened in primary school, when I picked up a pencil and started to draw. As time went on, I became interested in the way light shapes an image, giving it depth. By high school, my portraits were becoming pretty realistic. At about th
e same time, my dad started playing around with black and white photography, and made himself a homemade darkroom. I think that was about the time that I started to understand what makes great images and I was hooked! In 2004, I married my beautiful wife. At that time, digital was just starting to make waves in the professional world. This is when I thought I could try shooting weddings for a living. I started in wedding cinematography, which led to my ultimate passion; wedding photography. Every time I photograph a wedding, it brings me right back to those first days of me picking up a pencil and pressing it against a blank piece of paper, or smelling darkroom chemicals while watching an image come to life. These memories mean so much to me. So, when I photograph your wedding, what I want for you is this; I want my images to bring you back to your wedding day. Exactly how it was.
