Wishing all the Dads a fabulous Father’s Day! 💚

To the Dads I’ve had the pleasure of photographing with your children and grandchildren, it’s such an honour to capture these precious moments and witness the love and connection between you.

And to all the Fur Dads, I see you too! Thank you for all the love, adventures, cuddles and care you give your four-legged family members. 🐾

Knowing that these photographs will become treasured memories for you and your family is one of my favourite parts of my job. 💕

For the Dads who are waiting to meet their little ones, enjoy this precious time. There is so much excitement ahead!

And to those who may be finding today a bit difficult or sad, I’m thinking of you.

Happy Father’s Day! 💙

This is exactly why I love creating printed artwork for my families. 💚

Maddie and Bruce’s mum knew before the session that she wanted to create a beautiful collage keepsake, and she already had the perfect spot in her home picked out.

There’s something so lovely about capturing a moment in time and turning it into something tangible — a memory that can be looked at fondly every day.

A beautiful reminder of Maddie and Bruce, and the place they hold in her heart. 🐾💚

There are some sessions that remind me just how quickly time passes. 💚

Maddie is 14 years old, and to her mum, she is her soul dog. She has been by her mum’s side through life’s ups and downs and has basically gone everywhere with her. With Maddie getting older, her mum knew she didn't want to keep putting off something she'd always wanted to do — a pet photography session.

Maddie was joined by Bruce, her eight-year-old Bull Arab rescue, who has been part of the family for the past two years. Bruce is still full of energy, so he brought a very different personality to the session!

The session took place right at the end of autumn, making the most of the last beautiful autumn leaves. And, of course, being Melbourne, we had sunshine, rain and everything in between! ☀️🌧️

Their mum and her dad were absolute troopers throughout it all. Things even got a little more eventful when Bruce reacted to a drone being flown in the park and pulled her dad over, leaving him with a scraped arm. Thankfully, he wasn't fazed and was happy to keep going and helping his daughter.

Seeing their mum come back to view the finished photographs and absolutely fall in love with them was such a lovely part of the experience. Because these aren't just photographs of Maddie and Bruce. They're memories of a much-loved soul dog, a lively rescue boy and the life they share. 💚

I'm so glad their mum decided it was time to stop saying "one day" and made it happen today.

I’m a big delayed announcing on here, but wanted to still congratulate Karen on winning the main prize for our International Dog Day giveaway.

I can’t wait to photograph her beloved Mini Schnauzer Einstein with her family, in her words ‘every day is a gift’ as he gets older and tackles health issues. Encapsulating his memory will be super special 🥰

I first met Oscar’s family for a pre-consultation before he was born, and one of the things we talked about was how much they wanted their beautiful girl Cleo involved in their photo shoot.

Cleo is an eight-year-old Jack Russell cross Terrier who has been part of their lives since she was a pup. I love seeing how families grow and change, and how our four-legged family members are such an important part of that story too. 🐾💚

Oscar was such a settled little baby, and we were able to capture lots of beautiful, natural moments together. Dad was feeling a little awkward in front of the camera (which is honestly very normal!), so we kept things relaxed rather than overly posed.

The family loved their photos and created a beautiful collage to remember those very early days with Oscar. They chose to use a payment plan, which meant that when they finally came to pick up their frames, their tiny newborn was suddenly a whole year older!

It was lovely watching them look back at those photographs and be taken straight back to those precious first days with their little boy.

That’s one of the things I love most about what I do. The newborn stage passes in the blink of an eye, but the memories you create can bring you right back there — even years later. 💚✨

"Why does photography cost so much?"

It's a question photographers hear all the time, and honestly, it's a fair one.

What many people don't see is everything that happens before and after your session. Planning, preparing, travelling, carefully selecting your portraits, professionally editing every photograph, guiding you through your viewing appointment, ordering your artwork, quality checking every product, and making sure your memories are perfect before they reach your hands.

A 90 minute session is only a small part of the journey.

But what you're truly investing in isn't the hours worked.

You're investing in the laughter you'll remember years from now.

The tiny details that change far too quickly.

The portraits your children will one day look back on.

The artwork that fills your home with the people you love most.

Because long after the session is over, these memories become part of your family's story.

And that's something that's truly priceless. ❤💚

🐾 Happy International Dog Day! 🐾

Today we celebrate the beautiful dogs in our lives who we call our best friend, our soul dog, and who make life better each day.

International Dog Day was created in 2004 by animal advocate Colleen Paige. It is a day to encourage adoption, honour working dogs, and celebrate the friendship dogs give us.

I hope you’ve enjoyed some time with your furry best friend today!

I seriously have the best job ever!

Some fun tonight with Lynda and her beautiful llamas Daphne and Blossom. Thank you Lynda for supporting our Pets Of The Hills calendar (fundraising for Gembrook Wildlife Shelter) and also sponsoring with Auravale Alpacas. This project gives me the opportunity to photograph so many different types of pets which is so much fun. Lynda’s animals are just divine and full of so much personality!

Daphne and Blossom were perfect models for me and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening with that gorgeous golden sunset! ☀️

(A big thank you to husband Nick for filming this behind-the-scenes)
