I got to shoot heeeeeere yesterday! 😮

Omg. Have wanted to try this space for ages! And it did not disappoint. Such an affirming shoot. For me, for my client. Felt like a coming out of retirement shoot for me. I'm feeling super juiced up and ready to create again.

The business has taken a backseat, while we settled into our homeschooling rhythm, but I'm finally feeling ready to get back in the game! 🤗

TFW when you do a maternity shoot, and baby arrives TEN HOURS LATER! 😅 Phew! My previous record was four days later... not sure this one will be beaten! 🥰 SO excited for this family and their new love, as well as a chance for newborn cuddles at our upcoming shoot 🤗

Last night's workshop with was magical!

Tbh in the lead up I was second-guessing my decision to go. I don't do a lot of studio work, I'm not an editorial photographer etc.

BUT. I have walked away with suuuuch a better understanding of light and how to manipulate it (even outdoors)! The final image in this series has ZERO editing.

Looking forward to my winter studio sessions! Dreaming up a fun setup already! 👏

Thank you Meiji, and thank you for posing so effortlessly, allowing us to focus on light and composition so freely.

There is SO much I could say about last night. And I will. But for now I just want to share this little snippet of beautiful fat joy!

These women, I am ever so grateful to. For trusting in me (especially when I didn't) and giving me their time. For allowing me to show them off, and for the absolutely amazing discussion of our shared experiences living in bigger bodies.

Okay so I guess I did have things to say today after all 🤗
