A2 964 - Edwardes Park, Reservoir

Purchased from the Victorian Railways by Preston City Council and placed in Edwardes Park on 25 June 1969.

Built at Newport Workshops.

Commenced service on 15 April 1921.

Converted to an oil burner in July 1946.

Taken out of service on 1 November 1963 after having travelled 2,092,800 kms

Steamrail’s Werribee Steam Shuttles 🚂

Spent the afternoon capturing the shuttle runs back and forth between Werribee and Laverton as K160 made a return in fresh paint — looking absolutely brilliant fronting the train while traveling toward Laverton, with K153.

A special moment too, with passengers riding behind the locomotive for the first time in 14 years, bringing back a sight and experience many have been waiting a long time to see.

Huge credit to everyone involved in bringing these shuttles together.
