Being selected to film the wedding of my marriage celebrant and the love of her life was absolutely magical. For their wedding Bonnie and Joe surrounded themselves with family, friends, and an enchanted forest on their farm. Celebrant Merren Wilkinson (of Cinta. Celebrate Love) led a pre-wedding session for Bonnie to allow her and the bridesmaids to reflect and relax before the ceremony.

Today is significant to me for a couple of reasons. The first reason is it’s the 1 year anniversary of me transitioning from freelancing as a ‘side gig’ to jumping in to being Christopher J Videography full time. The past year has been interesting to say the least. But thanks to a surprisingly decent first year in business I am still here and ready to take 2021 head on.
The second reason is today I turn the big three zero. It’s been a wonderful weekend shared with family and friends, including a delicious brekky this morning courtesy of my incredible fiancé Elizabeth.
So as a birthday present from me to you; every couple who books between now and Valentines Day will receive a complimentary upgrade to their wedding package valued at up to $500. If you book and pay a deposit for your wedding day anytime in 2021/22 you’ll get either the Full Wedding Ceremony Film, the Full Speeches Film, or Full First Dance Film added to your wedding package, on the house 😊

I quit my job on my birthday in January 2020 to be a sole trader full time, but I failed to factor a global pandemic into my business plan 🤷‍♂️
So I want to say a big Thank You to all my clients over the past 12 months. You know who you are: couples who wouldn’t let Covid get in the way of getting married, businesses who wanted to make a bold impression to their customers, local performing arts companies who needed to widen their audiences, agencies subcontracting to me to create animations, and those who needed to tell their message professionally through video.
The biggest factor that’s preventing me from getting more work is that not enough people know I exist. Most of my clients come to me via recommendations. So an extra big THANK YOU to everyone who enjoys what I create and recommends me to others 🥰
Despite the weirdness that was 2020, I used my time and resources to get set for a stellar 2021. This involved building a professional video editing studio at home, making some major upgrades to my equipment, and doing some professional development. I’m super excited for where things are going and I’ll make sure to post more frequently so you can come along on the journey with me ❤️
