I take a relaxed photojournalistic approach to my work, so it's really important to me that we find a comfort and ease with one another. (Usually a pre-wedding In Love portrait session with a beer or red wine does the trick!)
I document weddings by focusing on the connection and emotion between you two as lovers and the people you have chosen to share in your special day. I want to show
you the real, raw, quirky and honest moments of your day. This is your story, so I don't want to manipulate or create anything artificial.. I want to capture YOU, your LOVE and the both of you being authentically you. Whatever that means to you. ABOUT ME
Hey I'm Rae.. My friends call me Rae Rae. I am a wave dancing, earth loving, star gazing, people loving world traveler & I love to document weddings. Home to me is the beautiful coastal town of Exmouth in Australia's North West, yet I have lived most of my career down in Dunsborough and Yallingup for 15 years previous to 2022. My soft spot for the rugged cliffs, open spaces and rolling waves encouraged me to make the move to the South West from Perth 15 years ago.. and early in 2022 the warm water, big open skies and the Ningaloo reef made it’s call. The slower pace, the close-nit community, my sexy man and our surfing & sailing adventures on the fluorescent blue Ningaloo are what drew me here yet the majority of my work is still in Perth, Fremantle, Dunsborough and Yallingup. So don’t let the distance fool you. I’m still very much excited to head back down to the cooler weather during the months when Exmouth is often over 45 degrees Celsius with very little or no cost to you. I only book a certain number of weddings each season to ensure that my time is balanced between the two parts of the world I love the most and so I can continue to live this slow ocean lifestyle that is very much who I am. In return by not overbooking I can give you guys, my clients all the time and love you and your special day deserve. I'm still amazed that awesome people like yourself invite me into their world to share in the most intimate and special moments of their life. I get to laugh with you and cry (yes still after all these years of shooting I cry) and capture all of your love and emotion as you feel it. Aaaaand I get to bust a move on your dance floor too. (Thank you muchly!)

The ones who want photos to look back on in 20 years and absolutely cherish because they evoke your memories with real emotion and not the pretty pictures of the cake, the shoes or the decorations because let's face it, trends do change but your love for your friends and family never will.
