😍 A big 2 days at
Located at the Showgrounds in Lismore this is Australia’s biggest gemshow.
🤓 We are the Junior Rockhounds, Homeschool Edition, and our kids volunteered at the popular activity Fossicking in the Hill, and had a great day exploring all the amazing earth treasures that Lismore Gemfest has to offer.
😍 Of course our rock lover shirts were there and you can grab them over at our website - supporting our homeschool adventures.

💛 Anzac Day
This week we have been exploring the themes around Anzac Day, war and the importance of honouring and remembering.
🥀 We have read books, went to an information session with Anzac memorabilia and contributed to our local Anzac service.
🫖 The girls helped prepare morning tea for attendees, made their information displays, laid a rosemary wreath by the cenotaph and read a poem as part of the service.
💛 These contributions and conversations are so important and help them find their place and meaning in community.

Getting creative for Mothers Day!
We made some cute tea light candles from plaster and created a ‘Pick & Paint’ stall at the local markets.
The day wasn’t too busy so we are going for round 2 at the on May 2nd.

🛼 Sometimes you just need something easy that gets everyone moving… and this was a winner
Took the girls to Lismore Rollerworld and they skated for hours (and slept very well after 😅).
✔️ Great for burning energy
✔️ Suitable for different ages/levels
✔️ Weather-proof option (always a bonus)
It’s one of those places you forget about—but it’s actually such a good go-to when you need to get out of the house.
We’ll definitely be back 🙌

😍 The kids had a great time (well until the storm rolled in) but they still kept playing an intricate game of tag with a bunch of other kids 😂
🍕 Beechies has a great menu - pizza for kids and I had the pork ribs 👌🏼
👉 Here are the details:
For kids ages 0-16, Wed-Sunday: 3 PM - 7 PM, $10 per child. Bring swimmers, towels, and shoe must be worn inside the club (but not in inflatable area).

🇹🇿 Want to help fundraise for a school in Tanzania?
Earlier this year, my good friend Sasha went to Tanzania to volunteer as a teacher. She came back with an inspiring story of the teachers and students at Heda Devine & Heda Laroi Public School.

Listening to her talk about her experience and enthusiasm to help the school with resources, we had to ask, how can we help too?

That’s when we decided to fundraise so the schools can buy textbooks for their students.

Our first fundraiser will be at on December 14th, 4-7pm You can find us inside the Hall on the stage area where we will have a Christmas Photo Booth. Come snap a pic and leave a gold coin donation - all funds will go to buying textbooks for Heda schools 💛
