It has been a crazy few weeks since returning from Esperance, so I have not posted as much as I would have liked.
Woody Island is such a pristine, peaceful place to visit. I could spend days there just relaxing and taking in the natural environment.
If you are heading down to Esperance it is definitely must visit place while you are in the area.

Black Jack Anderson is Australia's only known resident pirate. After being blamed for the death of another ships crew member he stole a small vessel and fled King George Sound in Albany to end up in the Recherche Archipelago and ultimately settled on Middle Island.

Although we didn't stumble across any treasure on our journey to the island. Being able to visit the island itself was reward enough. Middle Island is now an A class nature reserve managed and maintained by Parks and Wildlife Service, Western Australia. Thanks to HeliSpirit for the awesome trip out to the Island. Our pilot Jy did a great job explaining to us all the beaches and islands on our way to and from the island.

Lucky Bay in the Cape Le Grand national park.

What can I say, this place is such a little gem. The beach sand is so soft and fine it feels like you are walking on corn flour. At the same time compact enough could drive any 2wd car down it.
