After one the gloomiest, foggiest weeks of winter in the Wimmera I have ever experienced, the sun was out for the Hoppers!

It started out as a tiny gathering and very quickly grew to something much bigger. Throw in the sun making an appearance (at full volume) and it was magic winters day in the gardens for Josh and Aul.

It’s not forever. It’s barley a day sometimes.

20 mins. You, me, some pine trees and little bits of time frozen. So one day you can show them how little they were.

Or to simply scroll and look at how adorable they are once they’re in bed after giving you a hard time about wrong coloured cups, socks that feel to sloppy or maybe it’s just that you wanted to help them with a task beyond their years and their independence got in the way.

It’s that time of year! Where we go hunting for pine cones, jump off some logs, and go looking for gruffalos.

Winter in the Pines mini sessions are back! Come visit Dimboola, Sunday August 23.

20 min sessions, choice of 3 packages starting from $200.

Get out your fave cosy clothes and show up with your favourite people, to get that family photo updated, one with you in it (and not some awkward angle with someone else pulling a face in the background).

If you haven’t existed in your camera roll for 754 frames or your thinking the kids grow to fast, then this is your perfect opportunity to get it sorted. Nice and early (and then think gifts for the festive season).

Bookings go live to the email list at 8pm Wednesday August 5.

And yes, I realise it’s soon, because mentally I’m in June.
