Wow, I took this photo 17 years ago! I still remember the day. I was driving home from Perth back to the 100 year old farmhouse I was living in out the back of Cuballing. I saw this scene only 5 minutes from home, with the smouldering lines of backlit smoke and silhouetted windmills. OMG! Adrenalin kicked in. Knowing how fast the light can change, I sped home on gravel roads, grabbed my camera and sped back, climbed frantically through farm fencing wrangling a tripod, ran through a paddock with my gear and took this shot as a panorama in 4 frames that I later put together in Photoshop. We have this image as a 2m long canvas print in our dining room and have sold it multiple times as prints both large and small. It even won the black and white section at the York Photography Awards that year. Well worth the frantic drama to get this shot!
