See sea of fog. Chase sea of seen fog 😊

It was a misty start across parts of southern Australia this morning.

Fog settled in valleys and low-lying areas overnight under clear skies, and light winds brought about by the current high pressure weather pattern.

It made for some atmospheric scenes, especially if you were lucky enough to climb above the fog and look across it like an ocean of cloud.

This photo was taken near Wagga Wagga, but similar scenes could have occurred in Victoria, or southern South Australia, where there were broad regions of fog.

As we move into spring, mornings like this will gradually become less common. Longer days, shorter and warmer nights make it harder for fog to form and linger.

Absolutely thrilled to hear the skies and reserve around Karlu Karlu have been recognised as the Territory’s first International Dark Sky Sanctuary. It’s a place free of light pollution and one of the most incredible places where you can stare up in awe at the night sky! Highly recommend finding a way to spend a here 🌌🌌🌌
