It's always hard to choose images for a post. I get so emotionally attached to so many. I would love to share so many more. Here is Alex and Sam. Married earlier in the year. A spectacular day full of autumn warmth and family vibes.

It’s a beautiful piece of land I work and live on. Coming home on this driveway always calms the soul. Whether that’s coming home from a day in town or from checking the backgrounders feeding on the sorghum stubble. Fortunately we don’t spray our sorghum prior to harvest (because we are organic) and have this feed to utilise during a sudden onset of drought like conditions.

For the last 10 years I’ve built my identity through photography. Now while I’m prioritising farming, I’m feeling a little lost. I see so many amazing photographers punching their goals, looking great, posting fun videos and I’m over here hanging out with cattle, yelling at the crawling sheep, driving tractors, harvesters, and shearing shed work. Annoying the husband really.

Circling back to the lost feeling. It’s a strange feeling. One I probably will not understand straight away. I know my season has had a major shift and adjusting will take more time than I realised. I’m often asked by well meaning people if I am still photographing. The answer is yes, I just don’t post about it.
I would love to share more farming adventures with the hope it would spark some excitement back into this page. I promise I’m not an over-sharer, and won’t ramble about everything in my daily life. Bonus too, you won’t get any AI written content here either! You’ll get all of me, my stupid humour and questionable grammar.

Wowie, what a wedding! Absolutely honoured to have been part of this day. Sophie and Charles a match made in heaven with a mix of fun lovin' and humour. A stunning property wedding where Sophie grew up. A garden complimented by the community for years, now with it's very own spectacular statement piece. Check it out! Sophie Skaines and .

Hey just a little plea for understanding!
Since last October, life on the farm has taken a major turn, and now I’m more involved in the day-to-day operations than just lending a hand here and there. I don't want to get too deep into it, but just a heads up, over the next few months, I’ve got 16 sessions lined up before the end of April, which falls smack in the middle of an incredibly busy farming season. Currently we are prepping our winter ground rotation, yet preparing to harvest our summer grains. All the while we are feeding sheep because last year ended 4 inches below the average and this summer has been lacking the rain totals we still need. Yet still having to run a house, be a wife and a mum. I don't pretend that I'm the only one busy. We all are.
But the juggling act of farm life, photography sessions, and editing has been a lot lately, and honestly, it's been causing some stress on my end. So, for those asking for sooner openings, I totally understand the excitement you may have wanting a session, but it can be a little challenging to manage on my end when the schedule is already packed.
I need to focus on the sessions I already have booked and give them the care and dedication they deserve. Booking anymore during this busy farm time, I run the risk of burning myself out and then I'm no good for anyone.

My next availability is from July and thank you to those who are willing to wait and have booked well in advance.

Thanks for your patience and support, it means a lot during this busy season!

I think dad already has a mini me in this family. A little offsider biting at the bit to farm right beside dad. Farm kids! I'm sure their second will love agriculture just as much as their parents. An enjoyable family to photograph on their patch of paradise.
First meeting them at their wedding where I filmed their wedding video. Was great to see them grow in life since then. Truly blessed.

Home is where your heart is. For Dan and Nicole a family session at their home was everything they needed. Brothers who love their younger sister and parents that would do anything for their kids. Always a privilege to photograph the family again and see the kids grow!

Life with 3 boys would have to be a wild and exciting. Honestly I don't have a clue, but Imogen and Adam make it look easy. The three little men are full of beans and interested in jumping on the trampoline, riding their bikes, and fishing with Dad. Anything outdoors and typical boy activities. They also wildly love their mum. True blue Aussie lads they are and such a fun crew to photograph! Imogen McCaffrey

Oh this crew was lots of fun. Isaac and Rachel charged with anticipation for their day was supported by the most amazing attendants and wedding guests. A morning ceremony, lunchtime reception followed by their fun bridal portraits around the base of the Bunya Mountains. Finishing with a warm sunset glow at Fishers Lookout. What a Day!

January 20th Aurora

The morning started off with alerts showing that a massive Geo storm was hitting earth in the early morning of Tuesday 20th. There were hopes it would continue into the night. A rare situation that made the aurora last for a long time in the atmosphere.
On the tractor in the afternoon I kept checking the figures and while it was promising to be a sighting, it was never certain if the figures would all line up again.
We decided to setup from sunset and get the timelapse going on the camera. Sitting with the family enjoying the quiet chatter of the insects, and eating left over homemade pizza, it hit at 8:01pm! Figures dropped suddenly! The camera was getting it all. Not so much the naked eye. I'm glad I was just set up for the what if and we got it! The aurora waxed and waned and then around 9:57 the columns appeared and they danced! We both saw the meteor that zoomed through too. In comparison to the May 2024 event, this one we had better colour variations of pinks up to the purples/blues instead of the just the overpowering reds.

Last night we experienced some of God's amazing glory, and we know Dad is basking in God's glory for all eternity. Our joy was a mix of tears and elation.

Father and son moments. 😍.

Life has been full of farming of late with a mix of photography clients with myself. Life is different, but we are choosing life to be still full.
