Today when I developed the last bunch of photos I felt so sad - that it's the last day of WSS/BLDF 2021, but also so happy I could see so many smiles on the social dance floor - love you all :) Editing these photos was pleasure for me :)

Thanks to Carlos Galiano & Elli Torres for organizing it, even if that was freaking hard during these times :) I'm sure everyone had an amazing time, and so happy we were able to meet and dance together - so big big big big thanks :)

To everyone else - make sure you support artists and events as it's a very tough time for every artist and every dance studio - so if you want to have a big smile during the next dancing event - make sure you say "thank you" and support financially if you can :)

What a weekend!

Doudoule Latin Dance Festival just finished and I just finished developing all the photos taken during the festival. There were around ~7000 photos taken, of which 2615 were "publishable" - and you can see them in one of three albums on fb.me/marek.knappe.photography

A quick summary of the event:
- Finally, I learned how to spell DouDouLe - over the last 6 months, I think I have invented 10 different names for the festival when asked why I needed to be back in Australia before the 24th of August.
- I caught the face of Saori Yakou saying "This guy doesn't look like Bob!" - and indeed I don't - he is much more handsome
- Sara Nicole and Chris Py II were fighting for over 3 minutes for a pillow - I know the pain with doona, but I have never seen anyone having just one pillow for two people - weirdos :)
- Beach bachata is as good as anything on the beach :)
- looks like samba dancers remain samba dancers and still love their asses (Brooke MacGregor ?:)@)
- Looks like reggaeton girls love theirs too (Sera Fichera)
- If you know Zouk - you know how to fly - Bossa Latina (Actually - red-headed girls can fly too!)
- How is it possible that Amy G Blackburn and Csaba Szirmai are hotter and hotter every performance?
- Bob needs some rest too - it's the first time I noticed that!
- Sometimes people give you the look 'Why the hell are you taking a photo of me now' (Nancy Nour) - the thing is that I didn't know that either - it just happened!
- There is one guy that I can make laugh every girl (even the ones I have 1000 photos of grumpy (or maybe just very focused on steps) face) - Thanks Navjot Matharu
- Looks like you can dance salsaZouk to zouk music - Sarah Evans & Pedro Gonzalez Dance
-Musical lectures are a must for everyone who wants to dance! They are awesome - even for me - non-dancer!

Photography is my passion - so hearing all the good things about my photos from this year DouDouLe is music to my ears - Thank you for that - I would just like remind you that photos would just be an empty hotel conference room without you guys and you did a great job performing, social dancing or just gracefully sitting (Nancy Nour) ;)

Sorry for not splitting it further into day/performances/social albums - I thought it will be easier for organizers to share, but then it gets so hard for you and me to look through all the photos ;)

One small disclaimer - I love photography - but I don't like to disturb people that I don't really know - so if you want more photos in the future - come and say hi. I won't be walking around and asking if you want a photo - so just ask me, or give me a big smile - and I will do my best :) On the other hand - If you don't want a photo - don't smile and be grumpy.
