From the moment I captured this sweet couples maternity photos I was already excited for the moment I would get to capture them again as a brand new family of three.

This handsome little cowboy made his entrance only a week or so after our shoot, but we’ve only just managed to get the stars to align for us to catch up for photos! Ollie’s had a busy schedule following his Dad around the rodeo ring! 🤠🩵

Some stories begin a little earlier than expected. 🤎

We had only just managed to squeeze in this family’s maternity session before their sweet little boy decided he was ready to meet the world.

Fast forward a few short weeks, and I found myself in their home, documenting this brand-new chapter.

No fancy setups. Just sleepy newborn cuddles, a proud big sister soaking up every moment, and two parents completely in love with the family they’ve created.

These first days pass in the blink of an eye—the tiny fingers, the milk-drunk naps, the way everyone naturally gathers around the newest little love.

They’re the moments that don’t seem extraordinary at the time, but one day become the memories you wish you could step back into.

Ten years ago, Michael and Rikka stood close to this very spot in Port Douglas, promising forever to one another. It was just the two of them, full of dreams and the excitement of everything still to come.

A decade later, they returned—not because those promises had faded, but because they had grown. Through ten years of marriage, countless memories, and the greatest gift of all… their children.

This time, their little ones stood beside them as they renewed the vows that had carried them through the last ten years. Watching the love that started here become the family they created together. It was the sweetest thing watching them all laugh and dance together afterwards.

Some love stories don’t need a new beginning. They simply come back to where it all started, with fuller hearts and hands that have held so much more.
