Happy 22nd birthday to our amazing, talented and lovely son Finn. Was so good to spend the day hiking at Cradle Mountain with you. The only thing missing was our beautiful Adele, who sadly had to stay home to work. Here’s to more hikes either way all of us together!

My latest painting. The bark was actually this stripy and colourful. Ok, maybe I enhanced the colours a little!

This little painting was fun to paint. It’s from a photo I took last autumn as I was driving out of New Norfolk and the colours were popping and I had to stop and take a picture, which eventually turned into this painting.

I want to tell you about this photo, which is very special to me. It’s a photo of my mum, dad, my sister and I when I was about 6, and had been rolled up in a canister in our shed for all these years and I’d completely forgotten about it. Jason had been cleaning out our shed and came across it. He knew I’d love it if he got it framed secretly. He just happened to find this frame that fits perfectly from an antique shop, took to framers and gave to me for Mother’s Day. I love this picture, as it reminds me of a time long ago, and especially special since I lost Dad. Thankyou to my amazing husband for hitting the jackpot with gifts that I love! Ps, how good is the frame!!

Pretty happy with how this lil’ painting is coming along. It’s the first of a series I’m doing from our recent wanderings up the west coast- Couta rocks near Arthur river. I’ll have to come up with a more exciting title. Let me know if you’d can think of something!
