This is what happens when the sea writes poetry and the light reflects it back to the shore.

Watching these two bring their connection to life in front of the lens was pure magic. From Beauty and the Geek to this moment on the shoreline, their story is one of love, connection, and unapologetic authenticity.

As a photographer, I feel so lucky to capture moments like this—real, raw, and unforgettable. What inspires you most about love stories like theirs? 🌊🌅

Thank you for braving the not so warm 😁 water for some epic images.. I had such a wonderful time with both of you!!

Honoured to be the one who captured my cousin Shantelle’s wedding to Allan at Lake Lascelles on October 12th. The weather was amazing, the view was spectacular and the day went off without a hitch!

Surrounded by family, love, and laughter—what a perfect day! 💍📸 Here's a little sneak peek.

And... that's a wrap..

We deinstalled our exhibition on Monday... and 3 years at is finally finished..

So many thoughts and feelings are swirling around.. but mostly happy to be finally done.. sad that I won't get to see my friends every week and excited for the cohort of 2024 to find their place in this world outside of the confines of producing work for someone one (who marks it based on a set of outcomes). Here's to following dreams, creating freely and sharing your work with the world.

If you missed out on seeing the exhibition... sorry. You missed out on some amazing work!! 👏

To the amazing lecturers, thank you for your patience, your kindness, your time, and your knowledge. You have all contributed to me growing as a photographer.. but I really want to thank for her guidance in my work this year.. always pushing me to do better and be less harsh with my self.

Thank you to (and for the calm in the chaos) for helping to pull our crazy show together..

Thank you to from for your amazing advice, making me laugh and keeping me sane!!

Also shout out to for all the amazing work and knowledge you gave us this year!!! I feel so much more prepared !!!

Thank you to Jacob Lewis for capturing the event (sorrrrry, it won't let me tag you!! )

I can't even begin to tell you the emotions that flooded through me when presenting my final body of work for my BA of Photography.. relief, excitement, fear, anxiety, happiness, sadness ... the list could go on.. I can finally lift my head up and out of the fog that was end of semester stress and get back to real world stuff!!

I want to thank my models ( and ) for being a part of this series!! Without you, I couldn't have brought this series to its final presentation form... I hope to continue with it next year, on my own timeline.. and not rushing for assessment!!

Thank you also to my amazing friends who kept me sane during these stressful times... I'm gonna miss seeing your faces every week!

Thanks to the amazing cohort of educators and amazing talented people who kept me sane, and pushing forward (you know who you are!!) I will miss pulling faces in your office windows and talking about things or eating your snacks 😋 and just generally having a good time being around you!

Next step is our grad show! Please check out for all the info!!

Obscura: Unveiled is an ongoing exploration of identity, strength, and vulnerability through the use of light and shadow. My vision is rooted in the belief that beauty and power are multi-dimensional—existing in every form, waiting to be revealed and celebrated.

This work is not just about photographing subjects; it is about collaboration, liberation, and transformation. This shift from discomfort to empowerment is one of the most fulfilling aspects of the project and is a central theme in my work as a whole.

Through the careful painting of light, and the exploration of the human body as a canvas, I aimed to transform the way we perceive beauty and strength, encouraging both my subjects and viewers to reconsider the boundaries of self-image and empowerment.

This series is not just about creating striking images but about crafting a dialogue on beauty and perception, and an ongoing conversation with viewers who, like me, find beauty in the darkness.

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

After nearly three incredible (and slightly stressful) years, my fellow students and I are thrilled to announce that we’re almost finished with our Bachelor of Photography! To celebrate this milestone, we’re hosting an exhibition titled Un|Stable|d, showcasing our final year portfolios. This is a fantastic opportunity for emerging photographers like us to display our work and gain exposure as we launch our careers.

We need your support to make this event a success! We are covering the exhibition costs ourselves, which include:

✨ Gallery Space Hire
🍹 Catering & Drinks for Opening Night
📣 Advertising & Media
📚 Invitations & Catalogues

Here’s how you can help: We’re seeking donations to cover these expenses. You can contribute any amount, or choose to receive a stunning print of your choice from our selection of artwork created over the past three years!

For businesses interested in sponsorship, we have three tier levels available. Please reach out to us at [email protected] for more details.

Your support will play a vital role in bringing Un|Stable|d to life, and we are truly grateful for your consideration. Thank you for helping us embark on this exciting journey! 📸❤️

Who is Becca Jane?

That would be me! I am actually Rebecca (Jane is my middle name), but I thought Becca Jane was a little more catchy!! I’ve been married to my husband Will since 2012, and we have a miracle boy Henry who was born at 26 weeks in 2016. I am also the proud owner of a very loud and chatty cat called Cleo - although she seems to be getting noisier as she ages :D On the weekends you are most likely to find me out and about doing photo sessions, or having a lazy day at home. I would like to say something more exotic, but alas, I’m a mum - and that is hard to come by hehehe.

My favourite things to do is stay up waaaaaay too late past an appropriate bedtime, and sip coffee in the quiet of the house..and cuddle newborn babies (and hand them back when our session is done! ;) hah)

Hearing my little boy laugh is probably my most favourite sound in the world! (It used to be a good thunderstorm - but #priorities!)

My life revolves around constantly tripping over the Thomas the Tank Engine trains all over my floor, picking them up at the end of the day, and being a snack deliverer for my toddler! I also spend a lot of time on the Mac Book either editing photos or working on my business!
