September 2026 Calendar of Events

Monthly Competition theme – Above & Below

We have some great events coming up in September and we're inviting you to come along and see who we are, what we do and how we do it!

Thu Sep 3 – Theory night - Nature
Club member Vanessa takes us through the ins and outs of Nature photography in preparation for our October theme 'Nature'.
7pm start, $3 members / $5 non-members, includes a snack and drink afterward.

Thu Sep 10 - Creatives - Reptiles!
We're getting up close and personal with some little beasties "Love me like a Reptile" as they join us with some of their most photogenic reptiles!
With a bearded dragon, a frog and maybe even a python, it'll be a great night for getting creative with animal photography.
We'd love to have some new members on board, so come along and have a play! Not sure if you know enough about your camera yet? No problem - every creatives session features 'Learners corner' with a more experienced member ready and waiting to help you get the most from your night.
6:30pm start. Cost is $20 for members or $25 for non-members, including a snack & drink.

Sat Sep 12 – Members Outing – City Night Shoot
CCC members are headed into the city on Saturday September 12 to explore shooting at night. With an optional dinner meetup beforehand, and then a great night of exploring the city by night ahead, this is a meetup that's not to be missed!
Not yet a member? No problem - come along to one of our regular Thursday night sessions and join up with us!

Thu Sep 24 - Judging night – Above & Below
Our theme this month is 'Above & Below'. Come along and see what club members have entered for this topic, and vote for your top 3 favourites!
7pm start. $3 members / $5 non-members, includes coffee and a snack after the presentation

We'd love to have you come along and see what Casey Camera Club is all about. Club rooms are located at Lynbrook Family & Community Centre, 25 River Redgum Place, Lynbrook. Photographers of all ages and skill levels are welcome!

We delved into the world of cosplay horror over the weekend in a special members-only photoshoot. The iconic Freddy Krueger, Art the Terrifier and company provided a fun filled afternoon and some great photo ops!

Our next member-only outing is night photography in the C*D - why not join us?

Casey Camera Club had fun with 'Light and Shadows' at this month's Creatives session. Everyday items envoked emotions of everything from delight to moodiness as our members played and explored.

September's creative theme is 'Reptiles', with a special guest visit from the team at "Love me Like a Reptile" on September 10. Why not come join us?

I really love long exposure photography, capturing movement. Some of my exposures can last over 2 minutes. The top photo took about 8 attempts till we got one shot we were happy with.

Casey Camera Club had fun with Movement at last moth's creative session. Falling dominoes, moving lights and splashing water provided great opportunities for our members to explore variable shutter speed photography.
