There’s something so powerful about capturing motherhood before two hearts finally meet. 🤍

Hopi absolutely glowed during her maternity session, and I loved creating a collection that celebrated her in so many different ways soft and timeless, bold and beautiful, and the simplicity of a silhouette that lets that gorgeous bump tell the whole story. ✨

Pregnancy is such a short chapter, but these photographs become a reminder of the anticipation, love and incredible journey that came before meeting your little one.

🌙 Inspired by little Mayari before we even got to meet her… ✨

When Kim told me during her maternity session that her baby girl would be named Mayari, meaning “Goddess of the Moon,” I couldn’t help but want to create something magical for her.

Before Mayari had even entered the world, her name inspired this beautiful moonlit maternity portrait celebrating Kim, her pregnancy and the little girl she was patiently waiting to meet. 🤍🌙

And now, beautiful Mayari is finally here. 🩷

It makes this image even more special knowing that the little girl behind the inspiration is now safely in her family’s arms.

Meet beautiful Elliana

Before Elliana entered the world, her family experienced the heartbreaking loss of her twin sister, Jordyn, at 16weeks during pregnancy.

Then came their little miracle.

Born at just 22 weeks and 5 days, Elliana spent almost six months in hospital, fighting every challenge that came her way by showing incredible strength and determination every single day.

Today, seeing her smiling, growing, and surrounded by so much love is nothing short of amazing.

It was such an honour to capture these precious memories for a family who have experienced both unimaginable loss and incredible joy.

Elliana, you are a true little warrior. Your story is one of hope, resilience, and unconditional love. Jordan will always be part of your family’s story, and your beautiful life is a reminder that light can shine even after the darkest days. 🤍

✨ TFP MATERNITY MODEL CALL ✨

McFarlane Photography is looking for an expectant mum for a TFP (Time for Photos) maternity session as part of a teaching and portfolio-building session.

We’re looking for someone who:

🤍 Must be between 28–34 weeks pregnant
🤍 Must love soft, elegant and timeless maternity imagery
🤍 Must be comfortable with their images being used on our social media, website and promotional material
🤍 Must be available for a studio session in Clyde North
🤍 Wardrobe will be selected by the photographer to suit the vision and styling of the session
🤍 This session is strictly for the mumma-to-be only and will not include partners or children
🤍 Must be available for approximately 2 hours, as this will be conducted as a teaching session

In exchange, you’ll receive:
📸 A complimentary studio maternity session
📸 A selection of professionally edited digital images
📸 A beautiful experience celebrating this special chapter of your pregnancy

Please note: This is a TFP collaboration, meaning no payment is exchanged. The session will also be used for teaching purposes and to create beautiful imagery for portfolio and promotional use.
