Hunter Drama is proud to present Caryl Churchill's kaleidoscopic, play "LOVE AND INFORMATION".

The play unfolds like a mosaic, offering glimpses into the lives of diverse characters grappling with the flood of information in the modern world, while also navigating the intricate landscape of love and relationships. With sharp wit, humour, and a keen understanding of the human experience, Churchill's play prompts us to question the nature of our connections and the impact of technology on the fabric of our relationships. "Love and Information" is a compelling exploration of the ways in which love and information shape our identities and influence the course of our lives.

The mood in the Newcastle Knights camp was through the roof during their all in media op earlier in the week. It was chaotic but managed to get a great run in the Sydney Morning Herald on Wednesday and today.

For Emma Warren, 47, the everyday costs continue to mount, but there’s nothing left in her budget to give.

“I don’t think many of my friends know how close I am to the edge financially,” she says. “I cried last night for a bit. Every now and then it just gets on top of you."

Warren receives a government disability pension due to her ongoing battle with Crohn’s disease, depression and anxiety. A photographer, her ability to work is dependent on her fluctuating health.

In December, her landlord hiked the rent on her one-bedroom Newcastle apartment by 15 per cent. She’s since cut back on medical and counselling appointments, turned off the heating and has begun selling off her belongings to pay for day-to-day items.

Gone are any social activities she used to enjoy with friends, something she describes as being like an “invisible lockdown”.

Artists John Turier and Nicola Hensel at Maitland Regional Art Gallery for this weeks Newcastle Weekly. Despite the pressures of setting up their shared exhibit titled "KALLIOPE CALLIOPE" they were generous with their time while I tinkered to capture this image in camera.
