One candle. One thousand reasons to be thankful.
Celebrating 1K on Instagram because when you stop and picture 1,000 people in a room, that’s actually pretty incredible.

I remember reaching 100 followers and thinking that was pretty cool.

Thank you to my people who have been endlessly proud of me and my photography. Finding people who have supported me and chosen me, strangers I’ve crossed paths with have given me some of the best encouragement I’ll ever receive and my forever people who constantly let me know I’m kicking goals, it has been such a beautiful surprise to say the least. I feel like all the love I’ve given in my life has been returned, ten fold.

I am constantly in awe of the kindness, support, and connections that have come from doing this. Every follow, like, comment, share, booking, recommendation, and message means more than you probably realise.

So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here, for cheering me on, and for allowing me to capture little pieces of your lives. Here’s to the first 1,000 and all the memories still to come. ✨🤍🎂

A couple of weeks down and a lifetime to go 🤍 their wedding was something else, so heartfelt, so much devotion.

To say their day was filled entirely with love, still wouldn’t feel like I’ve expressed how much these two adore each other.
There’s nothing that makes me smile more than seeing a couple sneak kisses all night long like these two did.
Jackson and Kiatana share the kind of love that is filled with faith, adoration, celebration, kindness, strength and a playfulness that had me grinning all day. The once in a life time kind of love we all deserve and I’m so grateful I was asked to be a part of their day.
(even if they made me cry during their vows)

GET TO KNOW YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

With so many new faces here, allow me to reintroduce myself *mic drop*
Shannen on my birth certificate but Shan to those who know me.
Mum era activated, camera permanently in my hand, emotionally attached to horses that aren’t even mine, and surviving purely on the love of my pups, my husbands good cooking and wasting numerous hours staring at my beautiful daughter.

I’ve quite literally built my business off talking too much, romanticising paddocks, and accidentally becoming best friends with clients.
Will cry over a sunset, a newborn and a well-lit cowboy in the same day.

Equal parts soft, loving and fun, confident energy. So you can be sure you feel at home when I’m around.
Frequently found editing photos at midnight while convincing myself I “definitely won’t book too much this year again.” (Will I ever learn?)

Professional jokester, hype girl and hugger.
Collector of tiny moments. (Because these always turn into the big ones)
And curiously living for whatever it is that sets YOUR soul on fire, because mine is already alight. 🤍

I hope you never stop hugging each other the second you walk through the door after a long day.
I hope the little moments always feel just as special as the big ones.
I hope your home is always full of adventure, comfort and a love that feels safe to be anything you want to be.
And I hope, no matter how many years pass, you still look at each other like you did right here ❤️
