Smiths Lake (Tarbuck Bay)
This morning's little drive was via The Lakes Way from Forster to Bulahdelah. Along the way is Smiths Lake at Tarbuck Bay - a nice little spot by the lake where the water was calm and blue sky peeped through along with sunshine. Also a little glimpse of a rainbow just to add to the scene!

I've been a bit quiet lately, busy with work and life! To unwind, a trip to Forster (& Sydney) was decided upon, and here we are!

Stay tuned for hopefully more pics in the coming days

From the lighthouse hill in Yamba, you have a beautiful view of Yamba's main beach, but turning around and looking to the north east is also a nice view!!

Here is (some of) Turners Beach, looking out to the end of the breakwall.

It's about time I start getting up early and trekking on those rocks pre-dawn for some sunrise action again! It's been WAY too long!

Driving in & out of Yamba up to 8 times a day has its advantages - I've been seeing the crystal clear water as I travel into town.

Yesterday I thought I'd charge up the camera, take it with me for the afternoon and go capture Yamba's beauty in the middle of the day. It was worth charging the camera and heading into Yamba a little earlier than usual to capture this!

Now, my next challenge - continue charging the batteries and get out more!! 😁

Cane season has begun, which means it’s the time of year where we see Smokey sunsets, “black snow” and an increase of trucks and machinery on the fields and roads. Tonight I was given an opportunity to shoot a cane fire, so here’s my captures.

Well after a fair few years of photography being on the backburner, I decided it's time to dig up a few of my favourite snaps and put them into this years Maclean Show. With absolutely no intention of winning, I put some in just to add some colour to the display. Little did I know I'd end up winning first prize on the sunrise photo, and the others highly commended.

Now time to get my backside into gear and get behind the camera again.. it's been too long!

That’s just about a wrap on the first month of 2025! For the last weekend of January, I decided to head to Brooms Head back beach for snaps, a walk & to dip the toes in the water. ☀️🌊🏖️

This isn't usually my style of photo, but the serenity there is in Lawrence is unreal! This was around an hour after sunrise, so I didn't catch the pastel colours, but this shot does capture the peacefulness of Lawrence, on the banks of the Clarence River.

The only time I seem to post photos is when I've been to the Clarence Valley. Here's a photo of the McFarlane Bridge in Maclean just on sunset last week. The river was perfectly still and calm. Where else would you wanna be when you can be in the Clarence Valley! 😁
