Hey! It's been a hot minute since I posted anything online. I've still been here in the background but focusing mainly on photography as a recreational activity during lockdowns and then whilst I was travelling this beautiful country of ours with my family in 2022. Last year (2023) was spent settling ourselves back into 'real life' and now I find myself ready to get back into photography as well as my career in sales/customer service.

Recently, I had the privilege of photographing my cousin Claire Leighton and her fiancĂŠ, Jervis (as well as proud Grandmother, Rose & pooch, Elsa) for their pregnancy shots. Since then, they have welcomed a healthy little cherub to add to our enormous family. Congratulations! Check out the adoration they have for each other... it's a bit cute!

Pink Lake in SA. We’ve passed so many pink salt lakes and they all look so different from the next, varying in colour and landscape. We’ll, that’s what I think. My husband thinks they all look the same!

Wyadup Rocks, Injidup Natural Spa, WA. Swimming in naturally formed pool, as the waves crash between the rocks, the white wash flows down and creates the feeling of a spa bath. We were there in May and even though it was fresh, it was still warm enough for a swim (in this humble Melbournians’ opinion!). Another WA highlight!

The Hamelin Bay stingrays in WA, just meandering their way up & down the beach, even stopping to check out our feet in the water & watching us all so inquisitively! This is not a tour or even something you have to pay or book in for. The rays are a protected species here & if you’re lucky like we were, conditions are right & you can be up close & personal with them (but not too much as you can’t touch them & obviously have to keep a safe distance). It was definitely a highlight for me on this amazing trip around Australia.

Bunda Cliffs, SA at sunrise. It was beyond freezing & I was shaking and a bit scared to be in the dark, standing so close to the edge if a 100m drop off, although as the sun rose, I could see it was worth getting up early in the cold for. Something I won’t ever forget!

This little speck is us, driving the road at Lake Macdonnell, SA. It’s a magnificent stretch of road, with a pink salt lake on one side and beautiful blue/green hues on the other side.

Nearly 3 weeks in to our trip of Tasmania, we encountered our first wet weather experience. The weather had been amazing until this point and it was perfectly sunny only a fifteen minute drive from where (& when) this photo was taken!
Lake Macquarie camp grounds, near Strahan, torrential rain completely broke our awning & left us with a shin-deep moat around our caravan for a good 4-5 days. It also forced us to stay in this spot longer, which turned out to be a big blessing as we discovered local theatre, swimming spots, mountain bike tracks, beaches, cruises, massive sand dunes, days of fishing as well as walking trails & waterfalls, all nearby.
Definitely a silver lining to this very overcast day and rain cloud.

We’ve been travelling through Tasmania for 5 weeks now & have meet some amazing people! During our first week, it was lovely to reconnect with an old colleague who now runs a stunning winery in Eugenana, Prickly Mo
If you’re a wine lover like me, it’s definitely worth a visit. Reopen after a stint of time, check it out at pricklymowines.com.au
Highlights were the ba****ck horse rides our kids were treated to as well as the tasty wines and stunning sunsets. I’ve heard the charcuterie boards are also amazing!

Be ready to be inundated with pics of Australia as we embark upon our ‘big lap’ this year!

It’s been over a decade in the making and to say we are excited is an understatement, although definitely a bit apprehensive about how well get to Tasmania to begin with, given these dreaded Covid cases floating about.

We are currently in Venus Bay, (Vic not SA) and took a day trip to Wilson’s Prom today. So much colour and texture at Squeaky Beach.
