I know how important it is for women to feel safe, because I have lived in fear myself.

Mary’s House does incredible work supporting women experiencing domestic violence, and I wanted to give back in the best way I could: by donating my photography skills.

One portrait from a large team of business professionals. This clean, well-lit style provides the consistency needed for LinkedIn, email signatures, EDMs, conference programs, websites, tender documents, and company profiles.

Every business calls them something different: corporate headshots, executive headshots, business portraits, personal branding photos or, for some industries, real estate portraits. Whatever the name, the aim is the same: a professional image that captures the personality of the individual while showcasing the quality that professional photography brings.

A recent portrait of Chill from Epicutis's growing Australian team.

I used a black backdrop and a five-light setup to create a portrait that felt elegant, confident and timeless, which I feel reflects the brand and the brief from Epicutis's head office in the USA.

I have actually tried the products and they are luxurious as well as effective, and I am happy to be part of the team. 📷

I recently uploaded an ordinary phone photo into Grok AI just to see what would happen, and the result was… honestly a little terrifying. 😅

Within seconds, it created a polished corporate portrait that looked surprisingly professional.

As a photographer, my first thought was: “Well… this could be a problem.”

So I did what I always do and figure out if there was a way to pivot and use this to my advantage. I began experimenting with AI backgrounds using my own professional portraits to see where this technology is heading.

Some results look amazing. Some still feel strangely fake, and that reaction in itself is really interesting.

I’ve written a blog about:
• what AI does well
• where it still falls short
• why authentic expression still matters
• and whether photographers need to evolve rather than resist it
