May is a pretty important month for us here at Whiteman Photography. A significant amount of our families birthdays and important dates fall during this month. It will be Scotts Dad first birthday since his passing late last year and on top of that, all the way back in 2015 was when we first started putting our Christmas on the Beach set together.

Hello Whiteman Photography families - you may have noticed that we've been a bit quiet the last few months, and by a bit quiet, I mean completely absent. Apart from sharing a few of Jen's market stall updates when she's been out doing markets, we've done nothing outside of our regular jobs.

At the back end of last year I (Scott) developed an aggressive form of inflammatory arthritis. By the time we got through Christmas and got a diagnosis and started treatment I could barely move without high doses of anti-inflammatories and paracetamol. I could not sit down without worrying that I may not be able to get back up. It attacked my knees, elbows, wrists and fingers. I wasn't even sure if I'd be able to use the camera again.

It's been a whirlwind few months of scans, tests, adjusting medication and more tests to make sure the medication isn't killing me, but the last few weeks have been positive and we're looking forward to getting back out there and capturing some memories for you all.

I'm sorry that I couldn't get anything functioning in time to run any sessions before Mothers Day, but there's still a good chunk of time to make the most of the Autumn colours and wonderfully warm light before we head into winter. So we will be running an afternoon of Autumn mini sessions on Sunday 31st May. Prices are still affordable at $180 and we're throwing in an extra 5 images with this years sessions, so you receive 10 High resolution downloads of your choice included with your session.
