I had one of those what am I doing?! moments after opening my child’s school portraits…
Out of focus… Like blurry ASF!!!
no real smile, Hair flying everywhere, awkward posture, and that plain blue “prison” background.

And I thought…
I’m a photographer… why am I paying for photos I don’t even love?

I’m also devastated that the backdrop I ordered for this cake smash somehow ended up lost.
By somehow, I mean me throwing things out of sight during one of my ADHD cleans… only to find it weeks later AFTER THE SESSION hanging on the back of my son’s door in a tote bag 🫣

A first for everything, I suppose…

Anyways… I need to plan another cake smash.
Something personalised. Something fun. Something that lets me finally use the bath…

Mother’s day is arguably the most important day to celebrate and capture during the calendar year.

In second place would be Christmas which is another day that represents family.
No not presents. Family! its always about Family.
The work and effort Mums do for yours. Christmas doesn’t happen without Mum.

The word Mum is focused here but it’s the responsibility and roll Mum’s have that needs to be respected and cherished.

Only a woman can bring life into this world. It’s a sacred duty that we women need to acknowledge as our power. The strength and selflessness required to not only carry and birth a child but to raise it, show up daily on our good and bad days and continue to do so in all seasons of life.

I know some people have primary care givers who are not Birth Mums, or women.
So please forgive me if you feel I am missing you.

I know a lot of people are blessed with loved ones, forster families or adoptive parents, LGBT 🏳️‍🌈 families who go above and beyond to care for the next generations.

All are welcome and encouraged to book.

Pet parents too! 🐶🐕🦮
