Let me tell you a little about what makes me, me! I’m a country girl at heart, growing up in Mount Isa, Queensland, with a childhood that most could ever dream of. Long days getting educated, weekends either spent at one of several properties that my dad did mechanical work for or on a motorbike following dad through some magical countryside is where I learnt about hard work, goodhearted people, a
nd the hidden beauties of the bush. I am now based in a semi-rural suburb call Cedar Vale, 60klm south west of Brisbane and 60klm north west of the Gold Coast. Just around the corner is the breath-taking Mt Tamborine and just over an hour away is Warwick. My home that I share with my gorgeous husband Adrian and our two fur children, Nash and Slate who are Australian Cattle Dogs is a gateway to endless photography opportunities. By day, I am a Safety Advisor for a global company which sees me in corporate offices through to walking factory floors ensuring workers are safe and following procedures to assisting injured workers in rehabilitation to travelling through Australia and New Zealand auditing and educating. When the work day is done, I return home and get to spend time with the fur children, preparing a homemade meal to sitting in front of the home computer editing photos. My days are full of change, adventure and stories and I would not have it any other way. My childhood and life experiences has helped to shape who I am as an artist; the style and inspiration within my photographs stems from my love of dusty sunsets, rainy wet seasons, and an unwavering love for animals and natural beauty. I don’t like the stiff, boring or awkward poses, I prefer the laughter, the imperfections and the fun. Be you and you’ll have photographs to love for a lifetime. Photography to me is about the passion that I get from capturing other people’s memories. Landscapes, animals, families, couples, newborns, weddings, maternity – it all stems from love. My style is a little bit of a mix of everything, giving a little direction where it is needed, to make sure you feel comfortable and then being able to step back and document the time exactly as it unfolds, capturing real, raw emotions in the warm, rich colours of life.
