Taken from the flight deck at 35,000ft over the Kerala coast, somewhere between the glittering lights of Cochin and the dark silhouette of the Western Ghats. That streak in the sky isn’t a comet — it’s one of our own aircraft inbound from Dubai, cruising at 37,000ft, both of us heading south towards Colombo. The Milky Way stretching across the top was just the universe showing off. Moments like these remind you why sometimes, losing a little sleep is absolutely worth it.
