Is it worth it getting a printed wedding album?

Over the last few years we’ve noticed two trends in our wedding photography studio:
1. Fewer couples are getting printed albums
2. More couples are getting in touch because they’ve lost their digital wedding photos

😱😲

We’ve been lucky in that we’ve helped every single couple retrieve their wedding photos, some from more than ten years ago. (We’ve literally received another email this week!)

So how do we keep our precious memories safe? ❤️

One thing is for sure: printed photos cannot corrupt, become obsolete or get lost when you finally close down that cloud service you never use 📸

Wedding albums look and feel really amazing to touch and hold, and create a beautiful moment of connection for those sitting around flipping through the pages. They are passed on for generations to keep your memories alive 💓

And what are the chances that you will dig out that old USB or bother searching through your cloud galleries in the hope that you’ll locate the photos? 🤔

What to ask your wedding photographer?

Our most commonly asked question is, “How many hours of photography coverage do we need?”

Annoying answer warning: it depends 🤭🥰

This is different for each couple because your ceremony and reception venues are held at specific times and may be far apart ⛪️ And it’s also determined by where you’re both getting ready.

So how do you work it out? 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

Planning is key!

Once you’ve confirmed your wedding ceremony and reception venues book in a consult to go through the timing.

We will work through the logistics with you and pretty quickly give you an idea about hours of coverage.

You’ll get a photography runsheet so we cover all the important parts and people on your magical day! ✍️

I always enjoy venues that are ‘ready-made’ styled and two awesome people who just want to hang with each other and their guests, pure fun! Brilliant day 🍾👰🤵‍♂️📸
