Hey, wild times we're having...I hope you're all going ok and managing with the challenges in the world at the moment.

Fortunately I'm still working and that's unlikely to be changing soon, so while I have a huge backlog of shots to edit I don't actually have a lot of free time to edit them.

You may see a few dribs and drabs come through as I share some older shots from cosplayer's pages or if I get time to edit some more.

I was...so excited cause....I thought I would be getting my bae Djeeta on GBFvs today.

I immediately ran to my laptop after work and turned it on, loaded GBFvs and went....WHERE'S DJEETA? D:

So turns out I didn't read the small print and STEAM only gets Djeeta next week. Q.Q

I don't know what to do with my life now that Japan is going lock down and I have no work for a month. Guess it's time to edit photo backlogs, do some reading and sew some masks for friends~ *_*

I even prepared a special photo to up today Q.Q Well it's okay, Up first, think later :D

Big thanks lil bro for waking up at 3am to grab the Grandcypher to roll us over to Zinkenstill for sunrise. Alas there was no sunrise just lotsa fog like in the anime opening theme but Brett did an epic job making everything bright and pikapika!

Two months between posts is...normal right? My computer basically shat itself, so I'm in the process of upgrading it. No editing happening because of that.

Here's another shot of Emma from our last shoot together. Don't be fooled by the lovely warm feeling, it was a rightly cold day.

Hi, hihi. So, I'm still alive, don't worry. Honestly I just haven't been shooting much and my computer is...umm...very slow, so editing backlog is pretty pointless. Each photo is taking about 3-4 times longer to edit than it really should.

There probably won't be any regular updates for a while, but as photos get edited I'll try and post them for you all (:

Here's a four-for because I missed an update last week. I still absolutely adore this shoot, and Emma's interpretation of Lirael is amazing. While I haven't really read the books they've been on my radar and I definitely appreciate the story they tell.

Fate franchise

Oh man, Fate Stay/Night. I have a hell of a love/hate relationship with this franchise. So much to love about it, but also so much of it. Too much of it! One day I'll sit down and play the VN but until that day...I'm happy with all my second hand knowledge XD

It was lovely to meet and shoot with Miyukiko for the first time, she's an /awesome/ cosplayer and artist, please go check out her page.

While it's only just finished, I can't wait for the next airshow in 2021. Being the 100 year anniversary of the RAAF I'm sure it'll be a huge year. Fingers crossed I'll be able to attend more than one day as well!

I love the variety of aircraft you see at the show, but really the Jets are just awe inspiring. You can feel the noise as they take off and the wash they give off is astounding. Truly remarkable machines.

So the next few updates will be from the Avalon Airshow 2019. I had the pleasure of attending on the Friday to see the night show and despite the atrocious weather (39 degrees!) I had an awesome time watching all the planes do their thing.

This was also the first real workout I've given my newest addition to the family, a Nikon 300mm 2.8. While it's second hand and has a few quirks, in combination with a monopod I recently picked up it's a really powerful lens that I'll be using a lot at events going forward. Don't expect it to feature much in my cosplay photography though :P

I think I'll always prefer shooting in a studio over location. I tend towards the low key and moody (who would ever be able to tell) and getting that on location is always a challenge.

Not that I'll never do location shoots, but oh man...I always come out of a studio shoot with some bangers.

Phew, going back a few years. This shot never actually saw the light of day until recently. The only reason? I could never quite figure out how to edit it. Out of the camera it was basically perfect. That being said coming back to it after a few years, a few tweaks later and I'm finally happy with it. MCEC really does have some great locations though...A lot more breadth than a lot of people realise.
