Ciyer Photography

Ciyer Photography I have now upgraded my camera to a Full Frame Canon 5DMK4. I am still learning the skills of DSLR photography, but can see an improvement.

It is a fun adventure with a lot of challenges I have always been interested in photography. I love seeing things thru the view finder and the results are sometimes good and sometimes not so good. Last year I indulged my love for photography and invested in a Canon 750D. All photos here are those taken from the 750D. Some are using the Screen Auto mode. They seem to be good :-D
I am learning thing

s about my camera and it is a slow process. I understand if my initial efforts put you off. For those who persevere, I hope I am able to do justice to your faith in me.. I hope over a period of time this page will have photos that ypu will be proud of, consequently making me proud of it.

Last couple of days the mornings have seen foggy weather. On Saturday I was all ready to go shoot Autumn colours in the fog but both my batteries had no power!!! So charged them through the day. I was sad coz it was a missed opportunity. On Sunday we had planned an early morning walk with friends.. when I woke up I got so excited to see more of similar conditions. Vish and I left home 10 minutes earlier to take these shots... Happy now 😀🍁🍂

In April this year, we travelled to China to see the famous Great Wall , Giant Pandas at Beijing, and the Terracotta Warriors at Xian. Wuxi is called the Venic of the EAst and it was a beautiful walk along the canal. I had posted photos from here on my personal timeline. Here I have posted some night time photos of the city. The only city where we were in the heart of the night life. In Sozhou we visited the Emperor's Garden but it felt very rushed. Lots of Retail Therapy at the Silk Factory. WE also visited a most exquisite Silk Museum but no photos allowed. We also attended a few shows in Xi'an, Beijing and at Hangzhou where it was performed on the lake We visited a Tea estate as well. Overall a great sightseeing trip.

I took these photos way back in December last year. Playing with my new camera... i think I used my 70 - 300 lens

In early April, Vish and I flew over to Perth to attend the lovely Jo and Tony's wedding. I had a bucket list of places to photograph so we stayed over a couple of days and went looking for these places. First on the list was Crawley's Boathouse. Vish and I drove to this place , just afew kilometers from where we stayed.. If I did not have gps on, I could have missed it :-) We were there at sunrise which made it all the more special with no one else there to share my space except a young family using a drone. He would have got great pics too. The next morning we left after breakfast to visit Bunbury and Busselton. Busselton has the longest wooden Jetty in the southern hemisphere and it was on my bucket list. I only wish we were there at sunset but we were back in Perth as we were meeting friends for dinner. Apart from the longest jetty, we were surprised to learn that at the end of the Jetty was a natural reef which was available to visit. Such a beautiful sight!!! Word fail me to express my view of this reef. The colours, light and fish and living organisms!!!! I tried to do justice but one has to experience it..

On Thursday last week I attended a Canon Collective workshop in a Hot Air Balloon. The workshop was in Canberra so after attending an interview from 4 to 5pm, being stuck in traffic for an hour for a short 6km drive, I quickly threw a few things together and dashed down the freeway to Canberra. Lucky to have a daughter who lives there so accommodation is never an issue. We both woke up early and set off to the Questacon building where we registered for the balloon ride and met the Canon crew - Kass Brumley. After a drive to an open ground somewhere, we had to wait for the balloon to be set up. It was fascinating watching them fill air and then hot air to bring the balloon up. Soon we loaded on tho the balloon and took off over the city of Canberra. WE were floating above the Lake and then over the Arboretum. Absolutely beautiful experience and was happy to have my daughter with me.. She got to use the new Canon Eos RP with the 24-105 lens. Lucky girl ..
