Pretty Poplars

The Canowindra Avenue of Honour is located along both sides of Nangar Road, extending for about 580 metres from the edge of the township, heading west towards Eugowra.

The original Canadian Poplar (Populus x canadensis) trees, numbering about 100, were established early to mid 1930s, to commemorate WW1 service and sacrifice. Most of the original trees were removed, and the current Avenue has fewer replacement trees; but these were grown from cuttings, taken from the original trees
