Also a massive shout out to for this beautiful work they’ve done. They went above and beyond for a walk in and the most difficult part about the shave was not smiling and laughing along

Aurora Australis. It’s not often the lights come to play but we have been lucky to receive such a wonderful show. A last minute drive out the the silt jetties set us up for minimal light pollution. Sadly it was very hard to spot with the naked eye but the camera managed to pull out all the tricks for us.leigh_

I’ve travelled 17,066 km for this coffee.
I used to work for this amazing team 4 years ago before covid.
I worked in a TukTuk in the square across from the train station and now they have a thriving cafe. I can’t recommended enough the quality coffee and team has to offer

Planets Align

Tonight was a rare night when the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn were all aligned. My hate for photographing the moon still exist. Remember the moon reflects the sun so trying to capture any other information can be extremely hard.
I tried blending 3 images together. 1 of the moon, 1 of the the blossoms in focus and one of the rest of the sky.

Striated Thornbill

My first lockdown activity consisted of a lot of Bird Photography. Thankfully my dad keeps a lot of native plants which bring in a lot of our lovely native birds.

What did you do to keep yourself occupied?

Latte Art

Since my travels have come to a halt I’ve gotten back into the business of being your local drug dealer... Caffeine!
Thanks to my time working at in London I’m now making coffee for a local cafe back in my home town in Australia.
During the lockdown though and only being able to sell take away coffee I’ve got a lot of time on my hand so I decided to do some food photography. Thanks to my Barista skills I can even make my own latte art to help the shoot.

This was a really simple shoot thanks to the awesome decor in store at the Wooden Squirrel. I just dragged a table closer to the front door for some natural light and when I was happy with the placement I made the coffee.

Thanks to for making an amazing blend also!

Flame

I stumbled across Fox and Flame while working down at the Wooden Squirrel and I was so excited to get them in the studio. Sadly with the second round of Lockdown I was hoping to get me. For the first time in the studio Flame was an amazing Model and I was looking forward to having them both in the studio more often.

Fox under the lights

Fox kindly joined me again for some time in the studio and he certainly made my life easy in the studio. With little to no prompting he just naturally fell into some perfect poses. I hope I get the chance to work with him again.

Also a big thanks to The Hub for letting me use a room, I encourage other creatives to head down there and inquire for more information

Fox

Geez what a time for a crazy world.
I guess I’ve been a bit quiet since the fires. Which I guess I can elaborate on a bit later. Luckily I’ve had the chance to meet this young gentlemen and he can be as foxy as his name implies. I hope this a tax year I can really take off as a photographer so please join me along the way.

Superb Fairy Wren

Do you know how I kept myself occupied through isolation? I made my self a small and terrible bird hide in the garden. With a few pieces of netting and a seat I can sit comfortable wait. All it takes is patience and all these lovely birds are happy with me there. The local Fairy Wrens were quite curious and pulled of some amazing poses for me. I couldn’t of been luckier.
