Four years ago today the fire in Namadgi was officially declared out.
Shortly after this I was commissioned to photograph and video the recovery.

On the 27th January 2020 the Orroral Valley caught fire and then continued to burn for a month. Approximately 80% of the Namadgi National Park burnt. I have been very privileged to have been able to first photograph the fire impact after only a few weeks and then again more recently a year after the fire started. These are just a few of the images I have taken. The first ten images show the devastation the fire had on the Park but also signs of recovery after only 6 or 7 weeks. The more recent photographs hopefully show how resilient nature is and how after only 1 growth cycle the Namadgi National Park is coming back. It is a long process and its still a very fragile environment but the signs of hope are there.
