The reality is…children don’t want to 'perform' for photos.

It’s not fun for them to sit still and smile on cue for someone they don’t know (and sometimes even less fun when they do know me)!

And that’s okay.

It means we get to play instead.

To run, explore, be silly, and let their personalities lead the session.

Because really… this isn’t about perfect smiles.
It’s a snapshot of the season they’re in — exactly as they are.

Stepping into something truly special!

The kind of place that’s picturesque and unique in an effortless way, in Gunning.

From the very beginning, Mikaela carried a joy that was impossible to miss — easily the happiest I’ve ever seen! Constant smiles and laughter, the kind that spreads to everyone around her.

With an intimate group of family and friends, the whole day felt warm and personal. Everyone there was truly part of something meaningful ❤️

Wrapping up the day in the most beautiful way, the sky turned the softest shades of pink as the sun set 🌅

As a second photographer...a lot!

But one thing...

Since second shooting with , one thing I've learnt is just how important the relationship between a couple and their wedding photographer really is!

Why?

At Ellie and Joe's wedding last weekend, the weather wasn't the greatest for an outdoor ceremony ⛈️

Kali knew exactly what the couple had envisioned for their day and being indoors wasn't ideal!

With the help of the staff at the ceremony location was moved indoors and moved back out again around the weather!

Instead of settling for the easiest option, Kali organised and moved everything to the spot they had originally dreamed of in front of the cellar doors — risking the rain and the tight timeline — but ultimately giving the couple what they truly wanted.

Moments like that remind me that wedding photography isn’t just about taking photos.

It's about knowing your couples, understanding their vision, and doing everything you can to honour it.

Most couples don't even realise the lengths Kali goes to for them behind the scenes.

And me, I support Kali so no one notices a thing 😉

At the picture perfect Growwild Wildflower Farm in the Southern Highlands.

Honestly breathtaking 🌿

I spent some time capturing the boys and there were so many laughs that continued on into the evening speeches.

Laura's heartfelt words to her Mum saw tears in the room and a lump on my throat ❤️

A little bit of cloud cover, drizzle of rain and the guest bus delayed by roadworks didn't stop the celebrations.

Flowers, plants and more flowers!

An absolutly stunning set-up for both the ceremony and reception for this beautiful couple.

I was in heaven...I can imagine they were too!

A couple so in love.

And family and friends who who embraced each other, shared in the jokes, laughter and good times, making this wedding one to remember.

For lack of a better word, Congratulations...though it doesn't feel like it cuts it for and 🥰

This beautiful Canberra weather and today’s afternoon session with a tiny bub made me realise how long it’s been since I last posted 🙊

I have so many gorgeous photos from all the Greenery sessions back in November and December just sitting there…waiting to be shared.

It's been two years ago since I last photographed this beautiful family of four and I think the girls still remembered me 🙊

The biggest smiles and happy to have their photos taken.

We wrapped up the session following the girl's ideas (kids always know best!) and it led to some truly sweet, memorable moments 🎯
