Canberra Government aims to solve two problems with one ice burg by turning the not so popular smelly lake of Tuggeranong into the new ice rink facility with heavy inspiration coming from imported Canadian hockey players talking about how much they miss a real winter freeze.
After much consultation of what makes for a good place to play hockey, it was settled that the exisiting slotted land for the centre was deemed inappropriate, and that a “how did we not think of this earlier” idea has come to the forefront of the next election promises with the lake changes to be made permanent.
Local residents are thrilled that another “make Tuggeranong great again” election promise may actually be a decent promise. Though they remain exceedingly skeptical.
