I really like this image, the storm clouds behind the kite feel ominous.

"The Black Kite is a medium-sized raptor (bird of prey). From a distance, it appears almost black, with a light brown bar on the shoulder. The plumage is actually dark brown, with scattered light brown and rufous markings, particularly on the head, neck and underparts. The tail is forked and barred with darker brown. This feature gives the bird its alternative name of Fork-tailed Kite. The eye is dark brown and the bill is black with a yellow cere (area of skin around the nostrils). Both sexes are similar. Young Black Kites are generally lighter in colour than the adults, and have a comparatively shallower forked tail." -

This was a tricky shot to get. The bird captured is a black kite and can be very quick and hard to get a good picture of.

They also seem very opportunistic, read the extract from below.
"In their natural habitat, Black Kites are spectacular, soaring effortlessly in the wind, their long forked tails constantly twisting to manoeuvre the bird while searching for food on the ground below, or skilfully catching insects on the wing. They are readily attracted to any fire, and great numbers may be seen wheeling about in the smoke, looking ahead of the fire-front to find small creatures fleeing the flames, or picking up the burnt remains of those that did not escape."
