There is no money involved. No hidden prices. This is a free collaboration.
Experience is not needed.
I’m not looking for perfect bodies or professional models — just real people, as you are.
What I offer:
an informal ice-breaker meeting in my home studio, coffee or tea, a chat, and I can show you some of my work printed.

Quick update about the markets.
The Happy Market dates planned for September and October at Distil on the Hill have been postponed to December.
The organisers needed more time after the huge turnout at Cannon Park, so the September and October markets have been rescheduled. The new location is still to be announced.
I’ll still be there when they return, offering free mini portraits for the Faces of the Market series.
Thank you for all the messages and support so far. As soon as the new date and venue are confirmed, I’ll post everything here.

The moment between effort and landing.
Photographing dancers taught me patience more than any other subject. You can’t force the peak of a jump. You watch the body load, the arms open, the eyes focus… and you wait for the exact fraction of a second when everything is suspended.
This frame still feels alive to me. The light from the side, the wooden floor catching the spill, the white tutu frozen in the air. One clean click. No continuous shooting. Just reading the movement and trusting the timing.
Those years with dance companies shaped the way I still work today — whether it’s a studio portrait or a quiet bo***ir moment. Look, feel the rhythm, then take the shot.
Grateful for every one of those sessions.

I’ll be at The Happy Market Cairns – Sip & Shop on Saturday 5 September with something special.
I’m offering free mini portraits throughout the evening.
You’ll step in front of a simple black backdrop, we’ll take a few photos (usually 2–3 final images), and that’s it. The whole thing takes just a couple of minutes. In return I only ask you to sign a quick release form so I can use the photos for a new series I’m starting called “Faces of the Market”.
It’s a relaxed, no-pressure way to have a nice portrait taken — and you’ll receive your photos afterwards.
If you’ve ever thought about doing a full studio session with me, this is also a perfect low-key way to meet and see how we work together.

Outdoor sessions have a different kind of magic.
The light changes constantly, the wind moves the fabric, the environment becomes another character in the frame. There is less control… and more discovery.
I love the freedom of working outside finding the right corner of the beach, waiting for the sky to turn soft, and letting the moment unfold naturally.
