Giuliana and Michael wanted something truly special for their elopement. So they packed up the 4 kids, brought along a couple of close mates and their parents, and travelled from Brisbane to Port Douglas for a day filled with love, laughter, and celebration.

What an incredible way to start married life together!

Sabrina and Mark met while travelling in Fiji - two people from opposite sides of the world, the USA and Australia.

Planning a wedding with guests flying in from everywhere felt overwhelming, so they chose to do things their way and elope in beautiful Port Douglas.

It was actually my first time shooting a ceremony in the gardens next to St Mary’s, and honestly, what a spot for it.

Make time for a few photos at dusk - sunset, blue hour, and after dark all bring such a unique feel to your wedding gallery that you just can’t get during the day.

Lachlan and Isabel had an epic reception at the Bluewater, with the perfect balcony overlooking the marina for a quick nighttime shoot.

This took all of 5 minutes, and we ended up with some incredibly dynamic images.

Tori + Ryan drove 2000km to elope in the pristine rainforest of North QLD - right at the tail end of wet season when everything was insanely lush.

We caught a little rain (perfect, honestly), and they backed it up with a post-ceremony creek swim anyway.

Misty Mountain Retreat never misses - I’m lucky enough to shoot here a few times each year and it still blows me away every time.

Dylan and Imagen made the trip from the Sunshine Coast to Cairns to elope on Fitzroy Island.

A tropical paradise, perfect weather, and a day that couldn’t have gone smoother. Just a couple of mates, some fishing rods, a wedding dress, and a pair of rings - all set for an unforgettable adventure.
Huge thanks to Kate Bellman for making their intimate ceremony so special.

Wedding season kicked off with a bang!

After the Easter break I found myself back in Port Douglas three times - and the weather absolutely delivered every time.

Erin reached out just a few months ago with plans for something a little different - no big traditional wedding, just a super relaxed and intimate day. And honestly, while I’ll always love a big wedding, these laid-back celebrations have a special place in my heart.

Their ceremony and reception were held at The Boat House, with the most incredible top floor views over the marina and sunset. We also ducked down the road to Rex Smeal Park and the Sugar Wharf for photos - such an unreal backdrop.

Some of my favourite moments come from the smallest shoots - like this early morning proposal under the palm trees in Palm Cove last year. I only capture a few of these each year, and they’re always full of emotion.
Pro tip: go for the morning. You get that soft golden light, cooler air, and usually the place all to yourselves.
