What a week!

Spent the past week on the road with SBS NITV covering the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) and celebrating 50 years of NAIDOC Week.

Dan made the trip up from Brisbane, Ben was alongside me on the ground, and together we produced and posted a new story every day. From traditional Indigenous games and the incredible talent on display at CIAF to culture, music, dance and a delicious Kup Murri, there was never a shortage of stories to tell.

It's always a privilege to document events that bring communities together and to help share these stories with audiences across Australia.

A big thank you to everyone who welcomed us and generously shared their time, culture and experiences.

Yesterday we packed two speedway livestream shows into 1 (1-10pm stream) due to a rainout the night before. So not only was the modified sedans northern nationals a massive event in itself with marketing, first weekends double header, the mid week meet & greet presentation to MC, then we all battled the conditions to bring the second double header show all on one day. A massive thanks to Steve and Ben Byers at CameraWorkz. I’m loving the producer role switching between my camera guys, the fixed cameras, the digital content pre loaded and graphics, and also getting better with replay angles. 🤙

CameraWorkz was proud to provide technical production support for the Sportsman’s Lunch at Brothers Leagues Club Cairns, working alongside Brett Goodman-Jones (BGJ Productions).

We delivered live video to the venue’s big screens using a multi camera setup, featuring three BirdDog PTZ cameras controlled via KBD controller and switched through a Blackmagic ATEM vision mixer. This system provided seamless live coverage throughout the event, enhancing the experience for guests and speakers.

Live multi camera production and screen feed delivery for events across Far North Queensland.

Telling local stories is what we love to do.

CameraWorkz was proud to film and produce this centenary video celebrating 100 years of Marsh Butchery. Four generations, a century of service, and a business that has become a true Far North Queensland institution.

Congratulations to the Marsh family on this incredible milestone, and thank you for the opportunity to help share your story.

Always a great event to be involved with at Cairns Speedway.

Behind the scenes with Alex Loughton from Power Forward Media, directing the live production while I provide the equipment and technical services that keep everything running smoothly.

The vMix setup was handling seven camera feeds, instant replays, lap timing, graphics and the live stream via LiveU, giving viewers at home the full race-day experience.

A lot happens behind the scenes before a single lap hits the screen, but it's always rewarding to be part of a professional team delivering quality coverage of Cairns Speedway to Clay-Per-View.

The Modified Sedans Northern Nationals runs across two weekends and promises some fantastic racing. If you're looking for a great family night out, there'll be plenty of action on the track along with food and drinks available at the venue. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.

If you can't make it to the speedway, you can still catch all the action live on Clay-Per-View.

Thanks to Alex and the team for another great night of racing and broadcasting.
