Still buzzing from last night.🎖
Blueclick Photography was awarded Most Outstanding Specialised Business at the Local Business Awards (first year in Cairns).
I don't usually enter awards - I was nominated by someone; if that was you;thank you!
What I loved is that these awards have now extended to Cairns. They've been running for decades in the bigger cities , and it's about time our own community gets the chance to recognise the local businesses doing the work day in,day out.
Such a great diversity of awarded business, including butchers, cafes , pharmacies, and more.
I feel so grateful to do what I love, and to work with so many local businesses as well as national ones who trust me with their photography needs.
And a huge shout out to Kylie, who came along with me last night.
She is behind the scenes helping with admin work. It's great to have her as a friend and a right hand.
Here is to the local businesses that make Cairns what it is.

A few images I took this year at Cairns Indigenous Art Fair (CIAF) , I also realised it's my 10th year covering it, these are from the opening night and fashion show. I loved that this year, the fashion show also had international indigenous artists, a love of indigenous cultures together in one place. Today is the last day to visit the fair at the Tanks Arts Centre , free entry. Beautiful work on display 👏 💖

Hi/Hola!! I thought it was about time I reintroduce myself. I'm Veronica, and this is my page where I post some of the work I do . The name Blueclick? I love blue, and I love clicking my camera, so pretty simple :)
This month marks 26 years since I first registered a business, what's now Blueclick, and I still love what I do. These days most of my work is corporate: headshots, website content, annual reports, editorial and PR photography.
This year also brought something else, something I hadn't done in nearly two decades, stills photography for Black Snow season three, this was for the arts department and I cannot wait for the new season to drop so I can spot the shots I did on screen.
So, yes, that's all for now. This year I want to do a few different things, so I will be updating any changes here.
Thanks to everyone I've had the privilege of working with,especially those who have trusted me for years and keep coming back 🫶it means the world to me to be able to continue doing what I love ❤️.
