Djawarray (thunder) is the voice of Gudju-gudju (the Rainbow Serpent).

Last Friday we gathered on Sacred Djabugay Country at the Kuranda Amphitheatre in honour of Djawarray aka Uncle Bertie, for his ‘Binal’ EP launch with Koahlition Reggae Band, Cloud 9 and the Mayi Wunba Dance Troupe.

Just want to say a big congratulations to Bertie and everyone involved in the making of this project / evening come to life ~ Thank you to all the musicians, the dancers, crew and Ngunbay / K-Town community for always bringing the heart and fire! Such a wonderful night and so so grateful to have been apart of this journey with you all x I would also like to give a big shout out to Rikaela for all the energy and magic that you bring into not only my world but to your community and beyond x
