Exploring the top end feels so different compared to the rest of Australia. The rugged escarpments, endless animals, rock art and tropical air are just a few things that make this place so unique. ✨

We are currently in Darwin getting Stella’s engine up and running after being broken down for 5 weeks. 🥲

Life on the road really throws you some curveballs - it never fails to take you on an endless roller coaster of adventure.

Our plan was to hit the road across the north-west over to Broome but today I stepped outside and the 37 degree heat felt too much. It looks like we might be driving back the way we came through the red centre. 🏜️

I definitely didn’t think we’d be back there so soon but either way I can’t wait to be back on the road. Sometimes it takes an unfortunate situation to put everything into perspective and appreciate what you have just a little more.. 🚌🤞🏼

As soon as we arrived in Darwin I felt like I stepped into a tropical paradise. 🌺

The steamy hot sun, towering palm trees and crocodile warning signs feel like such a contrast to my recent adventures. 🌴

Snaps from above, flying over the heart of Australia 🌝✨

We waited an extra week in Uluru so that we could do this flight on the full moon.

It was a perfect day but as the sun began to set a layer of smog appeared on the horizon. It blocked the sun so we didn’t get to see Uluru light up red but we were in awe none the less. 🏜️

This had to be one of my favourite experiences we’ve had in the past few months. It always surprises me how different a landscape looks from a birds eye view.

Do you ever come across places and think to yourself ‘how does this even exist?!’ 🌝💭

Last year when we came up through the red centre we had to skip a lot of places, so it’s nice to retrace our steps and experience spots like this with a bit more time.

We arrived after dark to camp so it was more of a surprise to wake up to these sights in the morning. It felt special to rise to pastel skies around these big & beautiful boulders. 😍

From the first time I picked up a camera it was always an expression of creativity 💭📸

It wasn’t necessarily about creating a perfect image but about capturing a moment and a feeling within it. I would shoot whatever grabbed my attention and try different editing styles. It felt free and fun.

I think somewhere along the way I lost that a little bit. Perhaps in the world of Instagram- perfect feeds, followers and viral content. It made me feel like photography became not so much about creativity but more like a game.

The past couple weeks we have been shooting a campaign for and it feels like it did back then. We’ve had the creative freedom to shoot the most beautiful boots in these outback scenes and it has reminded me of why I started all of this in the first place. 🌸🤍

No matter how long we spend on the road our camp setup continues to evolve 🤭🚌

We’ve become pretty quick at setting up our tent so that’s where we often fall asleep. It’s nice to have the extra space and time away from the van, especially after long drives.

Lately, we’ve been parked up here at a free camp in the desert. We’ve found ourselves a bit of routine and I’m actually starting to feel at home out here. After all, we are creatures of habit. 💭🏜️
