I couldn’t wait to put these photos on! These two red and white fungi must be the most beautiful of these I’ve seen. I just had to stop the car and take photos! I think I accidently traumatised some farmer who came flying over on his motorbike to check out my car in case I was casing his place (I wasn’t just the fungi on the side of the road lol). The first two photos are a week ago, the last two photos are yesterday. Photos taken in Byaduk.

Goodnight from Byaduk. I told myself today I would get photos of the beautiful pink swirly clouds with some foreground for interest . Except nature had other ideas - those clouds never went pink - turned grey and the only colour in the sky was where the sun was going down. So it was rather dejavu - more silhouettes of the top of the pine tree lol as I don’t have any other silhouettes on our farm in that area (and I literally was in the middle of cooking tea to take these lol). Having said that I was rather impressed with the colour that was there. The lines of colour looked so beautiful. The rest of the sky was dismal grey lol.

Sunset tonight on our farm in Byaduk - the top of the pine tree with the far away horizon shines again lol. I had pretty much given up on the sunset - went inside to load up what photos I had taken - when I look outside to see colour had lit up the sky!! So a mad rush back outside where I got the best photos of the evening. Woohoo!!! Photos taken on our farm in Byaduk and are in order of how they occurred.

Good morning hope you are enjoying the long weekend. For today I thought I would put on a few photos from our farm in Byaduk. This gorgeous koala climbed up a short tree (possibly to escape the dogs) and looked oh so very cute. The second and third photo are of the feedlot after approx 60mm of rain last week (so very needed after the drought). And I just had to put on the photo of the Crimson Rosella- such a beautifully coloured bird- with the dark background. Thankyou to you all for your support it is much appreciated.

Red, red contours, redder. I nearly went home in disgust with the sunset - and then a small section of sky lit up bright red! Woohoo!
If you’re into camera sunset photography - white balance is the key to good colour. In this case I used ‘cloudy’ white balance - but it pays to experiment. Sometimes auto white balance works better. Photos taken in our farm in Byaduk.

Yesterday I was absolutely rapt to have my blue Superb Fairy Wren Boy pose for me - repeatedly! He would land on the branch, move from side to side like a model- fly off, then immediately fly back to pose some more! I took soooo many photos! Not to be outdone, Mrs Fairy Wren also posed well. Don’t get me wrong- the rain approx 60 mm this week was very much wanted. However after a week of pretty much constant rain or drizzle combined with wild winds I really appreciated being able to get out in the sunshine with no rain and little wind. I took myself to Nigretta Falls and Wannon Falls. I was rapt to see more water over Nigretta Falls and water over Wannon Falls (last time I was there - Wannon Falls had no water at all). So so lucky to live near these beautiful falls. Then on the way home I got to enjoy the food shopping lol. Hope you are having a great day.

Great weather for ducks! I think we have had 50mm in Byaduk since Monday and it’s still raining. After the drought last year I haven’t lost my joy in seeing precious rain lol. This rain will be great for filling the dams and creek up.
These photos of Mountain Ducks were taken a few weeks ago on our farm in Byaduk. Apart from sitting on the back porch pointing the camera out the doorway it’s a little hard to get photos with this constant rain and wind. Not complaining though lol.
